Legislation Governing Computer Use

I would say “No”.because There have been many attempts to create and enforce laws in computer use. And these laws are now obsolete (wiretapping, videotape recording, software). Law takes hundreds of years to fully evolve.  Going over legislation in governing computer use  waste's of money, staffing, and other valuable resources.

For practical reasons, advances in technology are so fast that legislation delays make laws obsolete before implementation, if this happens, then we probably need go thru a new legislation.

Predominate in the World of Computing

Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics(Virtue Ethics)

Virtue ethics as we know is more likely to be honest and compassion.
A virtue such as honesty or generosity is not just a tendency to do what is honest or generous, nor is it to be helpfully specified as a “desirable” or “morally valuable” character trait. It is, indeed a character trait — that is, a disposition which is well entrenched in its possessor, something that, as we say “goes all the way down”, unlike a habit such as being a tea-drinker — but the disposition in question, far from being a single track disposition to do honest actions, or even honest actions for certain reasons, is multi-track. It is concerned with many other actions as well, with emotions and emotional reactions, choices, values, desires, perceptions, attitudes, interests, expectations and sensibilities. To possess a virtue is to be a certain sort of person with a certain complex mindset.
The most significant aspect of this mindset is the wholehearted acceptance of a certain range of considerations as reasons for action. An honest person cannot be identified simply as one who.
for example, practices honest dealing, and does not cheat. If such actions are done merely because the agent thinks that honesty is the best policy, or because they fear being caught out, rather than through recognizing.

Computer Activities

morally good under all circumstances
SURFING IN THE INTERNET.

Surfing in the internet can help you gather a lot of information, exclusively to the bad site that is not good for us student. So for me surfing in the internet is more likely watching news in the television.

morally bad under all circumstances

CREATION OF COMPUTER VIRUSES.

It is morally bad for me because creating viruses and spreading it to other computers or anything that can be virus is just like doing sabotage, so it is morally bad for me.

morally good/bad under certain circumstances
PORNOGRAPHY IN THE NET.
It’s really hard to make a stand in this case for me simply because there are some parts of the world that actually don’t consider it as morally bad. Personally, it is morally bad especially for minors and for people who doesn’t have a sense of responsibility. I appreciate some sites that have some form of precautions or warnings to web users of this kind. For me they are giving out the decision and responsibility to the web users. The rest is up to the web-user. In this case we have different views how we deal in this such situation, so for me its up to the users if it is good or bad for them.

Law Governing Computer

Law is something that we use to follow. It is a rule or order that is strictly to be followed. Some are very much aware that there are law's that we are following and they were very much aware in following it, but still there are those person who are not afraid to suffer the penalty for what law that he did not follow.

THE LAW OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
(excerpt from Republic Act No. 8792: Electronic Commerce Act of 2000)

the law of intellectual of intellectual property rights could be stated as "piracy".
non-jural law that supports this law is the moral law. This is because communities or countries complies with the norm  for “respect for the rights of owners of intellectual property” and punishes with fine and/or imprisonment those who violate.(http://www.freewebs.com/kmsolmoro/saq2.htm)
cheating, copying, piracy..it is not bad to cheat but there are times that that it is to much in doing such thing therefore therea are laws to be followed in order not to make surpluses^^

My Personal Code of Ethics

1. Learn how to be patient.
its hard to be patient but as long as you wait, there is a reward for you.take all the risks and sacrifices because you don't know what surprise will it be when you are patient enough. and i have a saying that goes this way "do not surrender to something you can still fight for. its hard to wait but it's more difficult to REGRET".

2. Do your best in all actions.
In everything you do always be at your best. even though you do not achieve what you like most, atleast there's no regret on your part, because you know that you did your best and for sure others may not tell you but instead they appreciated what you've done.

3. Make friends not enemies.
everything in this world change. You maybe an top at this moment, .but as time goes by there will be a time when you see your self at the bottom. So make friends not enemies because you'll never know if your close friends will help you on time of troubles and those you dont want to be your friend before will be the one who will help you.

4. Forget and Forgive.
As they said "nobody's perfect". for those who had done bad  things  unto you, forget and forgive. Never store hatred into your hearts because you also commit mistakes with others. It is easier for others to forgive when they notice that you, yourself can easily forget and forgive those people around you.
5. Give LOVE.
It is hard to love a person, who does not love you in return. But still love them fully. Make them feel how special they are to you. They may not love you as how you love them, yet there will be the time that they will learn to love you in return. Give love to EVERYONE^^
